Her diverse experience includes leading G2G, science and conservation, strategic communication and creative projects in the environment, education, and social sectors for the government of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

She started her career at the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), where she served for 8 years as the head of the Aquaculture sector and consequently the Director of the Marine Biodiversity Division. During her tenure, she led high-performing teams of scientists in enhancing marine conservation monitoring and research for Abu Dhabi’s flagship marine species and habitats, played a crucial role in the development of several marine-conservation and fisheries policies, and through various campaigns and marine ecotourism projects, contributed to elevating Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a regional leader in marine conservation.

She also spearheaded the development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s first comprehensive set of aquaculture policies, standards, and associated permitting and enforcement mechanisms to empower the development of a competitive and sustainable aquaculture sector to meet vital national food security objectives. Additionally, with her experience in pearl farming in Bali and Western Australia, she managed and enhanced operations at the Lulu Abu Dhabi Pearl Project in Al Mirfa, the UAE’s first pearl aquaculture farm, leading to a significant increase in both pearl production and quality.

This work helped inform the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Strategy which in turn, paved the way for the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority.

She also served as Advisor to the Chairman and Acting Director of Corporate Communications for close to 3 years at the Department of Education and Knowledge during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
